We have an early am flight out of VIE and am looking for a decent hotel near the airport. Any suggestions? Also will need to get to the hotel/airport the night before. It looks like the train is nearby, w/in walking distance. Can anyone confirm that?

NH Vienna Airport Conference Center hotel. It is walking distance from the airport. Train goes to the airport.

The NH hotel is right in front of the terminal building across the street. The train station is at the same place, but underground.
There is a train every 15 minutes from the city to Vienna International Airport. The fare is €3.90. Two routes are serviced alternating: RailJet from main train station (Wien Hbf) and S7 commuter from center train station (Wien Mitte) and others further north. Which route is best depends from where in the city you want to go. Do not use the CAT (City Airport Train), it is a rip-off.

Perfect hotel , lovely room , and literally a hop , skip , and jump into the terminal .
