My initial impression is that it's an exhaustive list, but I wonder how memorable your visit would be. Vienna is amazingly compact, so it's possible to hit a number of sites in a very short period. But will you really experience the city?

As I recall, the tour of the opera house takes more than 1 hour, as a lot of time is spent queing up before the tour starts. But if you have five nights, would a performance make more sense?

The Prater amusement park is a great way to mingle with locals, and you can ride the iconic ferris wheel seen in The Third Man.

Cafes and wine should also be on your list - a regret of mine is not having enough time to visit one of the vineyards on the edge of town.

Michael - I’ve been giving you good feedback on Trip Advisor (I’m Cherries). Since you don’t mention your dog and car here, have things changed? I can tell you that your hotel doesn’t have a parking lot - can you imagine a hotel in the city center having a parking lot? There are parking garages nearby but very $$$$.

As shared on TA, on Sundays, shops are closed but everything else is open.

I do agree with the above - a heurigen visit, Ferris Wheel and coffeehouses are notably absent from your very ambitious list (especially with a dog).

I also think if you are going all the way over to Hundertwasserhaus, then you should also go to Kunsthaus. The Ferris Wheel would combine nicely as it is nearby.

Finally, go inside Schönbrunn but do not go inside Hofburg.

I am planning a performance at Wien Mozart Orchestra. I am not sure Opera is our thing.
Prater amusement park is not our thing as well - unless there is something really special about it. We've been to many ferris wheels in many countries and live near Coney Island Cyclone :).
We love good restaurants, good wine, wineries and cafes. I haven't started looking at our food places.

So if I were to do a heurigen visit. When can I do it?
So if I dont go to Hofburg Palace - what should I replace this time with from my list? What should I move around?

Emily (Cherries). Thank you for your advice! I dont mention the dog here because it's a constant. We are used to traveling with her and she knows what to do and how to behave :). I did. Not mention it here because I did not want the conversation to lead in this direction.

If you want a schedule like that, timed and moving from sight to sight within timeframes, you may as well go on a tour. Transportation between sights is taken care of on a tour and that is one thing that could go awry on your own costing you valuable minutes on your 30 minute schedule visit to whatever. Then the monkey wrench is in the plan.
No time for a Wiener schnitzel or a sachetorte and what if those places require more time.
Too rigid for me.

You've certainly studied Vienna well. I've been traveling to Vienna since 1970, and I've not even seen everything on your itinerary list.

You might want to prioritize which travel sights you want to see. The city has great museums and great palaces, but there's often a limit to how much a person can walk. Sometimes we travelers must ration our steps.

Thats my goal - to prioritize the main sites and if I get to the others - perfect, if not, its OK too. It is not meant to be rigid as I mentioned before. We want to stroll and we want to dine, etc, etc.
So any recommendations on what to pass on if necessary?

It’s not just any Ferris Wheel - it is a historic monument and one of the oldest in the world. A symbol of Vienna and iconic from the Third Man movie.

So... is there anything from my itinerary that I can eliminate, or put on back-burner if necessary (due to time constraint)?
