Will only be in Vienna for 1 1/2 days mid September. Can anyone recommend any river cruises for 2 to 4 hours? Will be seeing the Opera House and then St. Stephens so would probably go midday. Or, any other suggestions given that amount of time. Hopefully will be able to go to Schönbrunn Palace on the 1/2 day.

There are no notable river cruises in Vienna as the Danube is far from the city center as well as ugly and industrial. Vienna is not like Paris or Budapest where the river is a main attraction. Please do something else with your time.
Yes, the scenic bits of the Danube will be a full day trip from Vienna.
Because of the ongoing heat wave, as of now 31 consecutive days with temperatures beyond 90°F in Vienna, the Danube river has very low water leaving a lot of cruise ships stranded.
