Very nice accommodations in Vienna for 5 adults

I have been searching for accommodations in Vienna and I'm looking for an apartment or adjoining rooms where five adults could stay in late May 2016. Many of you highly recommend K&T boarding house and Tina does have availability but I think I would maybe prefer to stay in a place that is not quite as basic. Many of the boutique hotels either exceed my budget or do not have availability. I am looking to spend around $1,000 or less breakfast preferably included total. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

I stayed at the Classic Hotel Wien (http://www.classic-hotelwien.at/en/) and would recommend it. It's just outside the ring but very convenient for sightseeing and getting around by metro, nearest stop is just 3 short blocks away. It's a very nice hotel, a bit posher then I usually get but they were offering a stay 3 nights get 1 night free so it made it as affordable as a more budget option. I checked some random dates in May 2016 and looks like 2 rooms ( 1 dbl and 1 trpl) would be about $375/night with breakfast included. Check it out.

Thank you Nancy looks very nice more in line of what I'm looking for. I sent them a email and I'm awaiting a response. If anyone else has further suggestions would appreciate just in case Nancy's suggestion has no availability.

Hope it works out for you. It's a very nice place and gets really good reviews on both booking.com and trip advisor.

Hotel Imperial shows about $1100 for 3 nights in May for a dbl and a trpl - not really bad for an above average hotel. Definitely another option for the OP if he's willing to stretch the budget a bit.

A hotel is never just a roof over my head. That's a waste of an opportunity to add to the value of the trip. Sometimes its the Imperial or something similar, sometimes its all about location or sometimes it is some special history or feature.

We stayed at Pension Sacher in Vienna. They have about 10 apartments. They're all on the same floor of an old building. They look RIGHT OUT onto St. Stephen's cathedral. The location is perfect!! They have studios that will sleep three and then they have bigger 1 bedroom places. You could rent out two....they'd be right next to each other. They're really nice units, full of beautiful antiques. It's family run by really nice people. No breakfast, though. Small units start at about $130 per night and bigger ones are about $160. Add $30 per night for your 5th person. Here's a link: http://www.pension-sacher.at/apartment_1_en

Steven my dear friend. How is your better half? Was thinking of you the other day. We are off to see P. Domingo at the opera in two weeks. Have to see him before he gets too much older.

Valerie,

It's family run by really nice people

Sometimes that's all you need for a memory of a life time.

Check out Hotel Stefanie. Also try Booking.com for many options. The reviews on Booking.com are dependable because they come only from people who have actually stayed at the property.

Hotel Imperial would work for one room for three nights, but definitely not 3 rooms for 3 nights, unless James has acces to private deals.

There are probably many hotels that meet your criteria. 3 rooms, 3 nights, but what dates?? There are many holidays in late May in Austria. That will factor in to prices. I think you budget is also too low if you want boutique, nice and convenient. If you can send you exact dates, please. Meanwhile, I'll suggest the 25hours Hotel, Austria Trend Parkhotel Schonbrunn, Renaissance Imperial Riding School.

I haven't been to Vienna, but we travel all over Europe and have had great luck with VRBO.com rentals. Comfortable and reasonable.

My daughter and I stayed at Hotel Austria Wien last June and loved it- I think we paid about 700Euros for 4 nights- it was a "twin" room that actually had an extra room with bed/sofa. Was great to spread out in!
Not sure if that fits your budget or has availability but we loved the location, the bkft, etc.

If you don't mind US style hotels and you want to spread out, you may be able to find a great deal at the Hilton. We had two huge rooms with 2 queen beds each for 5 adults over New Years, which is pricey, for 230 Euro per night a the Hilton Danube Waterfront. You have to ride the U into the center, but it was no problem. For a bit more, you can get Breakfast included. We just ordered some light food a la carte that came out cheaper.

Normally I would prefer to be in the center, but it was tough to find good space for 5 adults at a reasonable price over New Years. Sometimes the Hilton closer in also offers really good rates. For us, it's just a place to sleep and shower, so we were OK with it.
