Ubering around Switzerland & Austria

Planning our fall trip to Switzerland & Austria:

We are not comfortable driving in Europe, any longer; and prefer not to schlepp luggage to train & destination, so are considering Ubering from point to point? Have no idea the cost.....Appreciate your thoughts.

Example:
Luzern to Bludenz
Bludenz to Innsbruck
Innsbruck to Zell am See
Zell am See to Hallstatt
etc.

Danke!

Uber doesn’t exist outside of Vienna. It definitely doesn’t exist in Zell or Hallstatt. What’s Plan B?

There is a very useful luggage forwarding system in Switzerland. If you stay at least 2-3 nights in each location, you can arrange pickup of your heavy luggage in hotel A, and have it delivered the next day in hotel B halfway across the country. So you just have to keep light bags with whatever you need for two days. All details on the SBB Swiss railways website. It is pricey but much less pricey that taxis in that country - think $250 for Zurich to Luzern for instance.

I don't know whether Austrian railways OBB offer the same service.

Plan B might be back to driving/skip Switzerland/concentrate on Austria.

Patsy, if you took taxis to and from railroad stations, the only luggage schlepping would be to, and on and off trains. Is that not doable? Any car service would be as expensive as touring California by private car and driver. Distances are deceiving on the map. How about an escorted tour?
