I have this idea of riding a gondola to mountain top for the view and a restaurant. I have chosen this one.
I will be arriving by train to Zel Am See, taking the bus to Kaprun inorder to take the cable car to the 3000 level.
Are there better options? I estimate appox. $100 for the day trip for 1 person. Starting in St. Johann Im Pongau.
Just for a view and a lunch. Or, are there just a good or better places some where near by?

I see that the round trip to Gipflwelt 3000 is 70 EUR with a Zell am See-Kaprun Card. You get the card by staying at a participating hotel/apartment in Zell am See. St Johann im Pongau does not cut it. Its an additional 42 EUR without the card. So I think you might have blown though your 80 EUR ($100 US) budget already.
