Does anyone have suggestions on how to do this.
From there we would go to Linz. There is transportation on both trains and buses to Linz.

Best ist to go by train from Salzburg to Linz and then take the direct bus (#361) from the train the station in Linz to the Mauthausen Concentration Camp Memorial (and back again to Linz).

You can store your luggage in lockers at the train station.
