Travel within Salzburg proper

We will be visiting in and around Salzburg for six days/five nights in December '17, and will be relying solely on public transportation. Is there a 'pass' of some sort (perhaps similar to the NavigoD in Paris) that is available?
Thank you in advance for help and suggestions.

Tourist Salzberg is very walkable and pedestrian friendly.

Our hotel (Hotel Mozart) was outside and just NW of the car-free Linzer Gasse which was north of Altstat. We pretty much walked everywhere. The Festung Hohensalzburg was less than a 2 km walk south the hotel and the Central Train Station only a 1 km walk north of the hotel. We did cheat and did a SOM tour that included a drive into the surrounding lake district country side.

We also cheated and took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, about 10 km ride. Local bus service would have been cheaper but the taxi fare was a luxury after the overnight flight. Other than the taxi ride and SOM tour we walked everywhere during our three day visit and that was in winter.

Thank you...I am certain that we will be walking much of the town, too. During our visit, we will be visiting outside of Salzburg proper as well. Perhaps you know if there is a rail ticket (similar to the Bayern ticket in Germany where there is unlimited hop on/hop off capabilities on rail and buses that are covered for one price.)

Judith, Salzburg station is the junction between ÖBB (Austrian Railways) and DB (German Railways). The Bayern Ticket is valid to and from Salzburg Hbf, so long as you are heading west (direction of Germany).
See map here: https://www.bahn.de/p/view/mdb/pv/deutschland_erleben/allgemein/tickets/pdfs_laender-tickets/2015/mdb_190311_streckenkarte_bay_2015.pdf
The Einfach-Raus-Ticket ticket is valid on the ÖBB network, east of Salzburg Hbf.
Which ticket you buy depends on which direction you want to go!
