My husband and I will be arriving in Munich Airport on 9/27 and were planning on traveling to Salzburg via train. I read today that train transportation from Germany/Austria has been suspended until October 5th. Are any train running from Munich to Salzburg. Any suggestions for alternate transportation from Munich to Salzburg would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the same situation, plus I want to go from Salzburg to Prague a few days later.

Have a look at the replies in some of the other threads on this subject. While rail service has been suspended between Munich and Salzburg, it should be possible to make the trip via a "roundabout" route through Freilassing or Linz.
Travel by Bus may also be an option, but I haven't checked on the status of bus service on that route. One of the others may be able to provide that information.
