I’m looking to travel from Innsbruck to Solden for a day ski trip in mid-November. What is the best way to get to and from Solden from Innsbruck? Buses and trains seem tricky to time, and can take a few hours to travel. I want to try and optimize most of the day while I’m there.
So you do not like trains or buses, so what does that leave? Rent a car?
Buses and trains seem tricky to time, ...
Using public transport is no rocket science. You go by train from Innsbruck to Ötztal Bahnhof and from there to Sölden.
The winter season is planned to start mid November, so make sure you arrive at a date when all lifts and cable cars are already operated.
Sölden is a top tourist destination having a perfect infrastructure, see here: https://www.soelden.com/winter.html
It takes about 2 hours to get from Innsbruck to Soelden by train and bus, with frequent departures. A VVT day ticket is 38.30 EUR so that covers the return trip to Innsbruck as well.

Just remember you are a month away from the Winter Solstice. Early there and return. Hope you have some wellness planned.
