Train Timing After Tour- Salzburg

Hello,
We are going to do the Salt Mine tour through Viator (I assume it's Panorama, but we booked through Viator). They say we will arrive back at Mirabellplatz at 1pm or a little before 1. We have the following options for a train from Salzburg to Vienna at 1:52 (Westbahn), 2:04 (OBB), 2:11 (OBB) or then 3:30 (OBB). The 1:52 is the least expensive option, but I am not sure we will make that. Husband and youngest daughter will be walking to the train station from the hotel with our luggage so can get there early (they are not doing tour). My oldest daughter and I are doing the tour and will only have our backpacks and walking from the drop off point at Mirabellplatz. I am booking early to get best deal. Would it be reasonable to get the 1:52 or even the 2:04? The 2:11 is double the price. Help!

IMO that is plenty of time. IIRC it is about a 15 minute walk.

It might be a tad more than 15 minutes, but not much. The streets are somewhat nondescript,
so use Maps. If you come in via Lastenstrasse, it may be a bit shorter and you don't have
the grungy "under the railroad bridge" walk.

The walk from Mirabellplatz to the Lastenstrasse back-side entrance of the main train station is about .1 mile longer than the "grungy" one. (I walked there myself and I don't see any reason for this appellation.)

Either walk (about .6 miles) should not take longer than 20 minutes at the max. So catching the 1:52pm train should be no problem.

You will receive your mobility pass from your accommodation.
This gives you free public transport within Salzburg region for bus and train.
You could hop on the bus from Mirabelle to the station if needed.

I assume you will be ambivalent as to whether you arrive in Vienna at the Hauptbahnhof, or the Westbahnhof where Westbahn trains go to. You could also take time for lunch and take the 2:52 pm Westbahn train.

There doesn't appear to be a 2:52 train- that leaves from a different place. The next one is at 3:52 which is too late for us, as we have to check into our accommodations and then still want to meet my cousin for dinner in Vienna.

If there is a significant savings on 4 train tickets, take a taxi. This assumes you trust the tour to end on time.
