Hello! We’re trying to get tickets for July 12 but no tickets are available at either thetrainline.com or int.bahn.de - does this mean the trains are sold out or is there a different issue? I even tried other dates but still no tickets. Thanks
Have you tried the Austrian rail website? I saw multiple options for that day.
You can't buy the tickets at the DB website.
As CJ suggested, go to the Austrain rail company, OBB, and you can buy the tickets there. (I tried and it show trains and prices.)
Some of the routes included a rail replacement bus. Also be aware the trip is around 10 hours long.
Trains do not sell out.
Have a look at this page from the esteemed Man in Seat 61 website for some instructions:

This is one hell of a train ride. If it were me, I'd fly. Trains in Croatia are notoriously late and ill equipped.
Tickets are available on the https://www.oebb.at/en/ website, which is the official rail company (as opposed to a reseller).
... no tickets are available at either thetrainline.com or int.bahn.de
Never ever buy tickets from a reseller! Always go to the website of the local rail operator of the respective country.
Thank you so much everyone!
