Train question: Innsbruck to Munich & mun to salzburg

Based on our departure time, We only see railjet as the train option for ,Innsbruck to Munich through OBB website.
Munich to Salzburg is an EC train.
Has anyone had experience with them? Good, bad, delays, cancelling, etc?
, does it matter which side of the train you sit on for better scenery?

Thank you.

Munich to Salzburg can be done with a regional train and a Bayern Ticket. For 2 people it is 42 EUR total, after 9 am weekdays, anytime weekends and you can buy tickets out of a vending machine before boarding. One per hour and no need to book ahead.

Direct trains from Innsbruck to Munich are Railjet trains. They are OEBB's premier trains.

EC/IC is the previous generation of trains before RailJets were introduced. The major difference is the speed as they cannot go as fast as RJ/RJX trains (if the tracks permit). The layout of seats is different and there are less plugs for charging your mobile phone/laptop. And there is no WiFi, as far as I know,

Do you mean experience with OBB? Thousands of people use the OBB (Austrian National Rail service) daily. A railjet is a type of train as is the EC train - these are not companies. OBB is just fine. As mentioned, the trip from Munich to Salzburg is best done on a regional train, not OBB.
