train from Munich to Salzburg

Hello,
We have reserved 10 tickets on EC train from Munich to Salzburg. They are reserved 2nd class under one name. The other names of the passengers were never requested. Will they check all of our ID's on the train?
There was a fair difference in price between 1st and 2nd class. We don't need to eat and drink on the train. It's only 1 hr 45 minute ride. We will all have all of our luggage with us (one checked bag and one backpack). Are there any issues with bringing the luggage?

Thank you

Reservations are not checked (unless someone shows up and claims you are sitting in their seat), so only the name of the purchaser appears. You don't need to worry about your luggage. Backpacks go in the overhead rack, suitcases go in the racks at the ends or in the middle of the compartment, or between the backrests of adjacent seats.

Is this a group ticket? Then you, as the group leader will have the ticket with everybody's names, so you just indicate the people in your group to the ticket inspector.

When you say you have "reserved" 10 ticket, do you mean you bought 10 tickets and 10 seat reservations, or just bought 10 tickets, or bought only 10 seat reservations? Tickets and seat reservations are two different animals.

You can bring as much luggage as you want. You are responsible for storing it properly (overhead bins, under the seat, luggage compartment). The conductor won't ask you for an ID, but maybe the border control officers.
I hope you have seat reservations for your group. IMHO, 1st class is not necessary.

You are permitted to eat and drink on the train in 1st class as well as in 2nd class. But in both cases you either bring the food yourself, or buy it in the restaurant car. There is no complimentary food or drink service in 1st class if that is what you were thinking...
