Train app for Austria

Look for the OBB app.

My go-to App for Europe is Trainline. Gives you all the train options for getting from Point A to Point B, with times and prices, and you can even buy your ticket through the App. Although it started as an English train App, it has expanded, and I used it extensively in Italy earlier this year, and it also works for Austria. Note that it wants you to use “Wien,” rather than “Vienna,” if that’s part of your itineraries.

„ÖBB – Train Tickets & More“ – buy ÖBB tickets.
”ÖBB Scotty” is the better route planer as it finds also connections operated by other providers (e.g. Westbahn).
“WESTBahn App” to buy tickets for Westbahn trains (alternative, sometimes cheaper connections between Vienna, Salzburg, Munich).

“Wegfinder” is the App that combines all of above functions in a single App and includes additionally e-Scooter rental and call a taxi for several Austrian cities. I did not use it yet, thus I don’t know how reliable it works.
