Train Advice from Munich Airport to Salzburg Please?

Hello,
We will be landing in Munich at about 10:00 and wondered about the easiest way to reach Salzburg by train. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take the S-Bahn (S1 Line) from the airport to Munich Hauptbanoff (main central train station).
You can buy a ticket to Salzburg from the Deustch Bahn self-service machines or from customer service ticket counter at the Munich Hauptbanoff.

Buy a Bayern ticket for however many people "we" is. That will cover you all the way to Salzburg using the Meridian regional train. For 2 people it will be 31 EUR (26 for the first person and 5 for each up to 5 traveling together). That will include the S-bahn to Munich.

Now you have bit of unfortunate timing in that the hourly Meridian doesn't run at noon, and that is the one that you would normally take if given you land at 10 am. So unless you land early and can make the 10:24 S-bahn to Munich Ostbahnhof to get the 11:00 am train, you'll have to wait for the 1 pm train.

You can get the Meidian train at Munich Hauptbahnhof, or at the Ostbahnhof, which is a shortcut from the airport.

I just booked my tickets couple days back from https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml .
I land around 10.30 am and I booked 11:44 am from airport to Munich Ost via S8 and then taking a train from there to Salzburg @12:27 pm

I am concerned about the cancellation for noon train. Where can we get info about that?

Thanks.

It is not a cancellation, Meridian just happens to not run a train at noon, whereas they run trains at all other hours (5 before the hour more precisely). Your train is an EC train, and cannot be used with a Bayern Ticket. It is still running, and you have a ticket, so no worries.
