Tickets for Wiener Staatsoper

I really want to go to a performance in the Opera theater in Vienna and tried to get the ticket on line but the terms and conditions are in German and they say that for legal reasons it has to be that way. I clicked many times the English command with not results. Does anyone know the terms and conditions regarding the refunds? I called also and didn't get anyone on the phone. Sent an email and so far no answer.. Please HELP

What part of the terms and conditions do you find troubling? What date and performance are you looking at? Have you tried using google translate? You need to register. You pick the seat you want on the diagram that shows the price, it goes into your shopping basket, make your payment.

If you want, use a ticket broker that will charge a commission.

Thanks a lot for your answers. I have no problem with choosing the performance and the seat. I read the translation and if I understood correctly a ticket is refundable withing 7 days of purchase? All that I need to know is about the refund policy in the case I decided not to go under any given circumstances. If somebody knows the answer please advice.

I assume you are talking about this bit of verbiage.

Any sale of tickets for events is binding and can not be canceled or modified. When purchasing an Internet subscription, subscription subscriptions or subscriptions, the customer can withdraw from the contract within 7 days if during this time no event included in the subscription has taken place or no card has been booked for an event within the scope of the subscription subscription.

I would go by the first sentence, no refunds.

The rest involves subscriptions (season ticket packages), so you can cancel within 7 days of the initial purchase if no performance in the season ticket has taken place. That does not seem to apply to you looking to buy tickets for a single performance.

So if you want to go, assume it is a commitment on your part to attend.

Hi,

I would suggest taking a tour of the Staatsoper. There are seven different language tours....very interesting to see the interior of the magnificent place.
