Thank you for the suggestions. The website gave us some good ideas we were not aware of. We did do the drive to Grossglockner yesterday. It was a little scary for me, but breathtaking! The price was about $35 euros, but the roads were well maintained and as I said, the scenery was breathtaking!

We drove the whole length south of the Grossglockner, ending up in Lienz, Austria. The southern side of the Alps is even more beautiful. We drove west toward Cortina over to the Motorway and back north into Innsbruck.

That route makes for a glorious day of travel when the summer weather is good.
