I was wondering if anyone knew if the opportunity to see the Crown Jewels is part of the Hofburg Palace tour admission or is it a separate expense? Thanks
The Imperial Treasury ( Schatzkammer ) is a separate ticket < there is a combination ticket with The Kunsthistoriches ( Art History ) Museum . The treasury is magnificent as is The Kunstkammer in the Art History Museum . A highlight in the Treasury is the massive Emerald unguentarium executed by Dionyso Miseroni . one of the Milanese family of jewelers of that name .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dionysio_Miseroni The Kunstkammer has a large collection of Miseroni pieces which are stunning and the highlight there is the famous salt cellar of Benvenuto Cellini , the Florentine master goldsmith https://www.khm.at/en/visit/collections/kunstkammer-wien/ The Salt Cellar - https://art-facts.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Cellini-Salt-Cellar.jpg
We are planning to visit the Hofburg Treasury one month from today! It is a separate ticket from the Palace for 12E. But you can get a combo ticket with the Kunsthistorisches, an incredible art museum. That combo ticket is 20E.
