Does anyone have a good memory of the terrain on the Untersberg? My sister and I will be in Salzburg in Sept. and I’m trying to decide if Untersberg will be too rocky for her. She has metal rods in her back from scoliosis surgery and it’s easy for her body to get out of whack. She had no problems on Mannlichen or Rigi in Switzerland but those walking surfaces were pretty flat.
I’ve seen some videos on Untersberg and it looks very rocky, but I did see some glimpses of what looked like a cement viewing platform and maybe a partial cement walkway. But I don’t have a good sense for how much might be a smoother surface.
