Has anyone been here who can give me an idea on prices? I'm trying to put together some sort of budget.
Thank you!

Google is your friend. Found the menu in about 5 seconds:

Emily,
The problem with that link is that the speisekarte does not show prices for the menu items.
Kristen,
You might want to try our favorite in Salzburg, Bärenwirt. Excellent food and drink. Here is a link to their site with a pdf link to menus that have prices.

Oops, you're right. Sorry about that one!
The menu made me hungry though.:-)
Me too Operettaman!
Alex,
Thank you! Off to check out the menu!

You are welcome Kristen. Make sure to reserve as it fills up with locals pretty regularly. Enjoy!!
I have eaten there several times, they have been serving dinner since 803,it is alittle pricey but it is a historic place,be sure to get the dessert.
We did eat there and it was a bit pricey but there is sufficient range in the selections to keep things under control and it was only a few dollars more than a regular restaurant. It's one thing to eat in a restaurant that has been in business for 803 years but it's an whole different thing to have been in business since the year 803. Don't cheat yourself, you can cut a couple of corners somewhere else. Enjoy!
We celebrated our anniversary in Salzburg last year and had an early dinner at St. Peter's Stiftskeller. We both had a couple glasses of the Gruener Veltliner, some dark rye bread with 3 different spreads (extra $$), the Weinerschnitzel (about E25 each) and a side salad (extra $$). Yes, it was pricey but it also had wonderful atmosphere and charm with being the oldest restaurant in Europe . When you use the WC upstairs, peek into the dinner concert rooms. They're beautiful. We did not make reservations but did not have any wait since we went in the late afternoon/early evening before the crowds. There was quite the line forming on our way out though.
I went to one of the dinner concerts. I really enjoyed it. I was traveling alone it was interesting to be at a group table and the music and food were both very good. It was not cheap. They have a posted price of 54 Euros. So, a few years ago it would have been less that that. I notice that it doesn't say anything about wine, but I am sure I had some. Pam
