I will be in Europe(Bavaria, Austria, Croatia) to visit the Christmas Markets from Dec 3 to Dec15. It so happens that I will be there for St. Nicholas Day (Dec 6) and Krampus Day (Dec 5). What are the best towns to view the Krampus Run and to visit on St. Nicholas Day to experience European traditions. I fly into Munich but am flexible from there as I will have a EuroPass. I wish I could remember as much as I have forgot about Krampusumzug watching Bavarian TV over the years. I've never attended one. I can suggest you search for Krampusumzug, Krampuslauf Österreichs, Krampuslauf Tirol in YouTube and note the towns and see what meets your itinerary. There are some small towns in areas in Tirol and Sudtirol that speak Ladinische and look storybook, but that's more local small town.
