Skiing in the Arlberg and getting between St. Anton, Lech, Zurs, etc.

Planning an Austrian ski trip for 2019 and am trying to figure out in which town to stay and how to get between the Arlberg ski towns. It's hard to know the scale, time and distance between the areas.

I know the train station is in St. Anton and I know the different towns are now connected with new lifts that have recently opened (Flexenbahn). Will probably be there 10 days and ski 6 or 7 with my 13 y/o son, so would like to be near the action where there are shops, restaurants, attractions, etc.

Some questions:

Where should our hub be? Lech? If we stay in Lech, can we easily ski to and from the other ski areas in a day? For instance, St. Anton?

Similar question. If we stayed in St. Anton, could we reach the other towns each day?

Or, are we better off splitting the trip and staying in a couple different towns?

The ski areas of St. Anton, Lech, and Zürs are interconnected. If you use the right lifts and downhill tracks you can easily move from one to another and back.

Be careful: When skiing in the afternoon in a different area as your hotel is, always bear in mind how you get back to your area and how long you will need. It happened to me once, that I was late because of foggy conditions, and the last lift I needed to get home was switched off five minutes before I arrived there. So I had to get downhill in the wrong area and had to hire a taxi for going home to my hotel.

Here you have all information about Austria's largest ski area:

Lech is said to be Austria's most expensive town regarding accommodation during the skiing season.

There are scheduled buses that run between the ski areas. Daytime rides are included in the lift pass.

There is also a night bus that charges per ride, although the schedule is not clear from this site.

You can't go too far wrong staying in St Anton. Lots of bars, restaurants, hotels. The train station is across the road from the town, walkable. Since the tracks are on the side of the mountain, there are elevators up to the platforms, which are about 50 feet above the ticket office. Train is on the main RailJet line running between Vienna and Zurich.
