My daughter and I are coming to Austria to go skiing for spring break. We will be there in March from March 10 to March 15. We are intermediate skiers at best but prefer a mix of beginner and intermediate slopes and we will be needing to rent our skis, etc. We will be traveling by public transportation. We will be flying into Munich from the US and taking the train from there. I’m trying to decide between St. Anton and Soll. Any recommendations or help with this. Thank you very much.
St. Anton is the larger and more famous skiing area, hence more expensive. You will find more than 200 miles of skiing slopes of all stages of difficulty.
Söll is a bit smaller ("only" 160 miles of skiing slopes), providing a panoramic view of about 70 mountains higher than 10.000ft.
It is Austria's largest area for night-skiing, i.e. there are about 6 miles of skiing slopes equipped with flood-light, making skiing possible until 9:30pm. Additionally, it has the longest skiing slope of the world in one stretch, going down for about 5 miles to the town of Söll.
I like the Söll ski area and it's closer to Munich.
But mid of march I would for sure decide for St. Anton because of it's higher elevation.
It's easier to reach St. Anton from Zürich airport.
Check out the Zillertal.

the button for English is in the upper right corner.
I will be there in a few weeks staying in Mayrhofen (MUCH cheaper than St Anton) and the valley has half a dozen smaller ski areas to choose from depending on your mood. Not a famous "area", but one of the subareas named Hoch-Fugen is my favorite for fun skiing in Austria. It is a protected north south mountain valley most easily reachable by the gondola from Kaltenbach. And the. Hintertux Glacier at the south end of the valley always has snow. Munich airport to Munich Oct train station on the S Bahn, EC train from Munchen Ost to Jenbach (just east of Innsbruck) and the Zillertalbahn local train up the valley stopping in each major village (and it also serves as the high school bus).
Have fun.
My skiing days are over and I have never skied here, but have visited several times... You might take a look at Ehrwald. Should still be some good snow in the higher elevations. Many Ski Schools there. Take a look at the Ehrwalder Almbahn. https://www.almbahn.at/en/ See Pists https://www.almbahn.at/en/winter/ski-area/map-ski-area/ Its the end of season. Please call ahead for current conditions.
