Short river cruise- Salzburg

I’m wondering if anyone has taken a short , 2 hour or so, river cruise in Salzburg? If so, what company did you use and did you like it? I’m not seeing much about cruise tours but we did one in Budapest and loved it! Thank you!

There is a small boat on the river in the Altstadt. The floating dock has a bar, but I can locate no info on it. At Ferdinand Hanusch Platz.

A few years ago we bought the Salzburg card which included a boat ride on the river. I wouldn’t call it a cruise but it was fun, lasted maybe an hour and as I recall zipped along at a fairly rapid pace. Perhaps research the card attractions.

Even if it was available I don't think I would do it. A bus towards Werfen or Königssee is time better spent. Schifffahrt Königssee.

To get the Salzburg card, you can go to the Tourist Information Office across from the cathedral. The office for the one hour Batorama tour is next door. They run frequently. Check the schedule and book the open top boat if the weather is good.

we did the jetboat offered with the Salzburg Card several years ago. It was fun (and wet) on a hot day. More like a roller coaster than a cruise, more entertainment than sightseeing.

Would I do it again? In a New York minute.

Well, the river in Budapest is much larger and stable than the river in Salzburg.

Glad you finally got an answer. I have been watching because I thought it might be an interesting way to kill some time when in Salzburg. I think I would look for Nigel's jet boat what ever that is. I have no idea the point or accurancy of lachera's post.
