Seegrotte

Hi! Am going to be in Vienna in may 2017 for three nights. Was wondering if seegrotte is doable. If yes, how do I go about it on my own. Also, I will be reaching Vienna by bus from Prague at around 3:30pm.is it possible to do the ringstrasse by tram that evening?.
Thanks

You can go around the Ringstrasse by tram (lines 1 and 2) on your own until midnight. If you want to use the yellow Ring Tram for tourists (with explanations of all sights), the last trip departs at 5:30pm from the station Schwedenplatz.

To go to the Seegrotte you must take a Schnellbahn S-train (urban commuter) S2, S3 or S4 or a suitable R-train (regional train) e.g. from Wien Hbf (Hauptbahnhof = main train station) and go to Mödling, where in front of the train station busses of lines 364 or 365 depart for going to the Seegrotte every half an hour. The whole ride is about 45 minutes.

Although in German only, this is the best route planner for public transport in the greater Vienna area: https://www.vor.at/
(Select the tab "Routenplaner", the rest should be self-explanatory, i.e. from/to/date/time.)

Also, in May sunset will be relatively late so you'll still have daylight for sightseeing.
