Seefeld, Austria to Innsbruck, Austria to Zurich

Train connections look fine - 5 hours with two connections, e.g., 8:45-13:45. You can book ahead for the RailJet portion, Innsbruck-Zurich main station, at www.oebb.at. I assume you chose this route for the view, not because there weren't any closer flights available. What time is the flight?

I wonder if train to Munich (via Mittenwald-Garmisch) and then flying from there could be faster.

We have not made an airline reservation as of yet. Plan to do so in the in a few weeks. Will look for a flight in the late afternoon.

Thought about Munich but wanted to try the Liechtenstein route.

If this is an exercise to check off a country be prepared to be underwhelmed.

There is a nice McDonalds there but there isn't anything particularly grand about the area. I prefer many other areas of Switzerland much more.

Enjoy the (long) journey and do let us know how you got on. Different people are different. You may love it there. Nice big black rocks.

Nothing wrong with Liechtenstein. Just that there's nothing special to warrant a detour of any kind, in my opinion, to visit.

The train from Innsbruck to Zurich crosses Liechtenstein for about 10 minutes without stopping. Liechtenstein, in any case, is not worth a stop and not even a detour. It is virtually undistinguishable to nearby Switzerland and only for a sequence of accidents in history has conserved its independence.

We are narrowing our choices of departure times down. We are planning to depart Seefeld at 6:46 am arr in Innsbruck at 7:23 am. Then connect at 7:40 am to Zurich.

Will we have enough time between our arrival and departure in Innsbruck.
