Schloss Hof and Schloss Neiderweiden

We have read that in honor of Maria Theresia's 300th birthday they are doing special exhibits at four places, two of which are the Schloss Hof and Schloss Neiderweiden, both of which are included in the Vienna Pass. However, it looks like it would take the better part of a day to see them both since they are a good ways out of town, and, the HOHO only goes there on the weekends. How good are these sites and is it worth the time when you only have three or four days in Vienna?

Hi,

This type of special exhibits are similar to those I saw last year since it was the 100th date of Franz Joseph's death in 1916. Four exhibits were shown, two of them in Vienna. The Hofburg was one of the sites with its specialised German tour in the "National Bibliothek." Whether Schloss Hof and Niederweiden are "worth the time," I would say it depends on how desperate you are in seeing this history. I would see at least one of them. Thanks for the info since I'll be in Vienna in less than a month.
