Schloss Hellbrun

My husband and I are traveling to Salzburg for the day from Munich. We want to take the bus from the train station to Schloss Hellbrun and do the tour there.

Quick question-- we have to book those tickets in person, correct? I tried looking online but wanted to confirm.

Thanks!!

The bus makes many stops between the train station and Hellbrunn, including stops adjacent to the historic area. Don't assume that the train station is your nearest stop. On tickets, we didn't even consider buying in advance. Once at Hellbrunn we just walked right up to the window and bought the tickets. No big deal.

I used the HoHo bus from the train station when visiting Salzburg and spent a couple of hours at Hellbrun, just bought my ticket when I got there. The garden tour is fabulous, with the fountains and other neat things to see, and I also toured the house, decided to pass on the other attractions at the site due to time constraints.

While you're in Salzburg, take the funicular up to see Fortress Hohensalzburg and walk through the Old Town. The fortress & funicular are included in the Salzburg Card, too.
