Thank you for this, Emily. I love visiting cities that have excellent public transportation, and we made great use of the trams on our last visit two years ago. But I have to say, after a long, tiring day when we rode after dark from Nussdorf back to town (staying near Radetzsky Platz), we felt rattled to death! We'll be back next month and may very well take one or more of these rides in the daytime!

Thanks for that Emily - I'm planning on visiting later in the month. I've never properly done Vienna and we hope to spend just short of a week in that end of Austria.

Do you have any more suggestions for scenic tram rides? I've ridden on Youtube with those in the article - looking for more...

I think the correct answer is any or all of them. Consider the recommended tram to Grinzing, been there, done that, but in the dark which is not scenic. Why in the dark?. It winter and we went Grinzinging which can only be done at night. This I long tram ride. You don't want to do it twice, but you first of all you must do it for diner, wine , and music (going Grinzinging).

Does the Badener Bahn still run from the Opern Ring in Vienna to Baden? Took it many years ago but can't remember if the trip was very scenic or not.
