Hi everyone! I'm going to Salzburg next week for 3 day (Mon- Wed). The forecast shows that there would be a thunder storms the whole week next week. Should I just cancel my itinerary there or still go and just buy an umbrella?
it does that there. Got my wife webbed feet one year. Just go and enjoy. No wrong weather, just wrong clothes. More time to see the exceedingly impressive indoor Salzburg.
It just means that it will rain at some point during the day. It will likely be fine the rest of the day. Alpine weather is highly unpredictable.
I was there in May for 5 days. The weather forecast a week ahead of time predicted rain every day. The forecast kept changing, and it never rained the 5 days we were there. In fact, it was sunny all 5 days. Also... Salzburg often has scattered afternoon thunderstorms... those get figured into forecasts, too.
This is the most precise 3-day's rain forecast for Austria:

It is updated every 6 hours and shows time and date at the bottom, the color is for the intensity.
Learning geography: You have to find out yourself where Salzburg is on the map. :-)
Just get an umbrella. I bought a fun one with musical notes all over it there
