Hello! I am looking for a good tour GUIDE for a visit to Salzburg. We will be on a Danube rivercruise with a group of friends in September, and would prefer a private tour as opposed to the excursion from the cruise ship. We are looking for a one day tour from Passau to Salzburg. There are many tours advertised on line but would love specific recommendations. Thank you!

Your cruise ship will likely moor in Passau. At what time you can leave the ship and at what time you have to be back? Driving from Passau to Salzburg and back is about 2 hours each way. So you can calculate the (rather short) time you can spend in Salzburg.

This would be an all day tour. Our cruise ship offers a 9.5 hour tour from 9-6:30 pm. My hope is to use that same time for a small private tour with our group of friends. When I look for a Guide, there are many listed on-line but I would prefer to have a recommendation. Any one have a good source or know of a specific guide?
