I’m trying to pick my dates for a trip next year and one option would put me in Salzburg at the end of the Music Festival. How would this affect my trip?

The "Salzburger Festspiele" is Ausria's top summer event regarding classical music and opera when all the big venues in Vienna are closed for holidays.
Tickets are known to be high-priced, as well as hotel rooms. The earlier you make a reservation the better.
