Has anyone been in Salzburg during the Salzburg Festival in late July-early August? I will be starting a My Way tour there on July 21st and am wondering if I need to book events like the Mozart Dinner Concert well in advance.

Have not been, but know many who have. Book well in advance...prices for lodging will be higher and availability will be scarce the closer you get.

The hotel is taken care of since I'll be arriving (in Salzburg, not Europe) on the day the RS My Way Alpine Tour begins.
I thought I would do the Mozart Dinner Concert on one of the nights if I can reserve it.
