Salzburg Card - did you use it?

Looking for experience with the Salzburg card, which includes public transportation. Did you use it and feel it was a savings? Thanks in advance for any information!

I am not a fan of museum passes as I typically visit few museums when I travel, but in a 2-night stay in Salzburg last September, I bought a 24-hour Salzburg card and put it to good use. I am not sure it saved money, because it made me go to places that I probably would not have visited otherwise, but it was very convenient and it was nice to be able to visit places for free on what was a very rainy day alas. In the course of those 24 hours, I visited the Fortress, the Modern Art Museum, both Mozart residences, and the Panorama Museum.
I did not use public transportation during that period, I only needed it to get to/from the train station and that was outside of the 24-hour window. A 48-hour card would not have been worth it.

Balso, thanks for your answer. I plan to get the Salzburg Card for my three night visit. Debating between the 48 hour or 72 hour card, roughly €15 per day but am doing cost analysis.
Did you buy your pass online or ?? Did you not need the transport?
As always, thanks for your insight.

Our experience was some years ago so I cannot speak to the current cost or number of attractions included. However, we thought it was an exceptional value and used it extensively. I actually sat down when we bought the pass and pretty much organized our visit around the pass. It included transportation and sights we planned to visit and many we didn’t know about. We had a great time. We also enjoyed our stay in the comfortable and friendly Weisse Taube hotel. Safe travels and enjoy beautiful Salzburg.

I bought my pass at the first attraction, the funicular railway to the fortress if I remember correctly.
And I was staying at the Hotel Elefant right next to Mozart's birthplace, so I walked everywhere except to and from the station. It was cheaper to pay for those bus tickets than to buy an extra day of Pass just to cover them. But I'm a bit of a cheapskate when it comes to this; objectively you should just go for 72hr passes and not make calculations.

Salzburg is very walkable, even if going from one side of the river to the other. It’s enjoyable walking too. I’ve been 3 times and can’t remember ever using public transport except from and to the airport. Not sure the card would be worth it for that. The Panorama Museum is closed right now too-it’s moving.

We were in Salzburg for 3 days in December. We debated about the Salzburg card, but in the end skipped it. It would have paid off if we would have stuck to a list of things we wanted to see/do, but we ended up just winging it and in the end it would not have paid off for us. Another person on here mentioned staying at the Weisse Taube, and that is where we stayed as well. Loved it!!! We did not use any public transportation while there. As long as you don't have any mobility issues, it is really easy to walk even from the train station to the Fortress area. We took a taxi with our luggage this time (last time we walked with it), but did walk this route without luggage again and it is easily doable.
