Rovereto to Innsbruck

I'm staying in Malcesine and want to go to Innsbruck by train. Is Rovereto the train station that I want to start at? What is the best train service to take?

During the summer, remember to reserve in time. In August trains are packed and a friend of mine, last year, was forced to change her travel dates as some days were full; you can reserve from the OeBB (Austrian railways) website, as the train is Austrian run even in Italy. If long distance trains are full, you can split the route at Brenner with local trains - first an Italian train, then an Austrian - and get there anyway, even is slowly.

I'ved taken a taxi/private car from Malcesine to Roverto to catch the train. For the two of us the ride was €50. I would check the ÖBB schedule. There has already been a train strike on regional lines this month in Italy, so I would book Austrian to be safe.
