I am trying to plan out an itinerary for my trip and we will only be in Innsbruck for 1 day, arriving at 11:00 in the morning. Does anyone know the approximate round trip time for taking the Nordkettenbahnen cable car all the way to the top (Hafelekar Station) and then back down? We'd probably like to get out and walk around a little at each stop and maybe go to the Alpenzoo on the way back down. It seems like the best plan is to take the cable car all the way to the top, and then get off and walk around at stations on the way down since the last cable car from the top is the earliest (17:00).

I'm guessing that the web site doesn't highlight that info because the timing is quick. They have this info sheet in the Press section: http://www.nordkette.com/fileadmin/PDF/factsheet_neu_en.pdf.

Wow thanks for that Laura! I never would have found that. I guess the cable cars are pretty speedy and it just depends how much time you want to spend walking around at each stop.
