Romantic restaurant for wedding celebration

We are getting married in Vienna in the Ring area, and would like to find a romantic restaurant for dinner afterward. It would just be the two of us. Thanks, Lynn

Do you have a budget? If not, you can rent a cabin on the famous Ferris Wheel in the Prater:

One of the best restaurants in the world, Steirereck, is in the Vienna would be great for a special event.

I am a fan of the Palmenhaus in the greenhouse of the Hofburg.

Vestibuel, located in a wing of the Burgtheater is very romantic:

I also responded to another one of your questions with details on getting married in Vienna.

Thank you so much Emily! Good information! We decided that with the difficulty of the legal aspect of international marriages, we are doing a small legal ceremony in Canada, and then a personal ceremony in Vienna at St Stephens where Mozart was married!

Emily, is the Steirereck close to St. Stephens Cathedral? What is the average price for two people to have a nice meal there?
Thanks!

You might want to consider the Meierei, the sister restaurant of Steirereck located in the same building. Meierei means dairy in German and the meals focus around fresh produce and dairy products. While not as upscale as Steirereck, the food is exceptionally good as is the atmosphere. Reservations are highly recommended.

Thanks for posting about the Ferris Wheel! OMG - I am embarrassed to say I totally missed it. Vienna was the place I was probably the most un-prepared for when we got there and we fell in love with it - such a beautiful city without that rushed feeling. We actually stayed in Prater (DOH) and I still never saw or heard about the Ferris Wheel! Please tell me it is hidden behind tall buildings!

Fortunately we are returning to Vienna our next trip and will spend 3 to 4 more nights - I will definitely include this. I will also be looking for more of your suggestions closer to the time.

A pleasure...Wien is my spiritual home and I do miss it very much. I'll be on the other side of Austria this September, but not near enough to dart over for a quick visit.
