I just realized that The Rolling Stones will be in concert on September 16th at Red Bull Ring when we will be in Vienna! And there are still a few tickets available! Before I push the "buy" button, I need to know how we can get there by the 17:00 start time and then return to Vienna after the concert. I can't seem to find any specialized coach trips from Vienna or anything along that line. We are children of the 60s and 70s and have never been to a Rolling Stones concert. This would be a real highlight for us. If anyone has information on how we can make this happen, we would be very grateful!

Getting back is the issue. To add insult to injury, there is a replacement bus on the rail line between Vienna and Knittelfeld where there is track repair going on. The last train that gets back to Vienna leaves Knittenfeld at 21:14 and that seems rather early to me, considering the Red Bull Ring is outside of Knittelfeld.
But if you really want to see the Stones, there is a night train leaving Knittelfeld at 5:43 returning to Vienna. A true child of the 60's would have no problem sleeping in the Knittelfeld train station after a Stones concert. Other than that, maybe some kind of charter bus arrangement will present itself between now and then.

There are several bus companies offering shuttle services, both bus only or bus+tickets.
