Road trip Italy-Slovenia-Austria-Italy

Our family of 6 (kids aged 13, 11, 9 & 6) are planning on hiring a car from Venice in early October & doing a round trip. Places we'd like to visit on the trip are Trieste, Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Werfen, Hallstatt, Salzburg & Bolzano. We have 8 nights. Currently thinking 3 nights Ljubljana, 3 nights Salzburg, 2 nights Bolzano. Is this the best split of nights? Is there anywhere you would drop?

That's a lot of ground to cover in 8 nights. You have no nights in Venice.
What time is your flight home?
Bolzano is a way off from Venice.
Where will you stay the night before your flight home?
The night of your first day?

If this is a round trip starting and ending in Venice you are facing about 600 miles (1000 km) of driving.

I didn’t mean it to be rude. Sorry if I came off that way.,just trying to save everyone from guessing.

@Paul
I didn't take it that way, and I don't feel offended. I just thought that your (correct) remark deserved an answer.

Thank you all for your responses! Sorry for the lack of detail - I am new to this:-) We have 6 weeks all up in Europe. Prior to this road trip we will have seen Venice & have a 7 night cruise from Venice. Our cruise arrive back in to Venice at 8am so we were looking at hiring a car & heading straight out of Venice. The reason for the round trip is that it costs around $2,100 (AUD) more for one-way car hire. We are then planning of flying from Venice to Paris at around 4pm on the day we return back to Venice.
