Restaurant near the Opera in Vienna

Hello,
My daughter and I will be finishing off our trip with a nice dinner and then recital at the Opera house in Vienna. I have researched for different restaurants near the Opera, but it's getting a little overwhelming. And some of the options for a nice dinner were a real eye opener... some of them said it was $100+ per person. I would love a nice dinner with her, but more around $50 a person. :) Do you have any suggestions?? Thank you so much!
ps We will be touring Schobrunn (thinking the 2pm Grand tour time), and then the concert should be at 8. I assume that is enough time assuming 3 hours at the palace) to get back, eat, and then concert.
Thanks!!

I ate great schnitzel at Plachuttas Gasthaus zur Oper. It’s around the corner from the Opera House. Reservations are required, although I was able to get an early table for one as a walk-in.

I spent about five hours at Schoenbrunn. Besides the palace I enjoyed the carriage museum. Also watched a strudel making demonstration. Plus ate lunch. I didn’t take an organized tour but felt I saw all that I wanted using audio guides and reading placards.

Thank you! I will definitely check that one out.
I think we will be arriving at the palace earlier, looking around the garden, and then doing the tour at 2. I'm not sure if we will see the carriage museum or not, but maybe we will add if there is time. I know the priority for my daughter is the show, so it was nice to find a recital on the last night of our trip.

Thanks! :)

Are you sure that it is a recital at the Opera? That sounds strange. A $100 per person dinner is really unusual for Vienna - where are you looking?

I would suggest the Palmenhaus, Huth Gastwirtschaft and Gerstner for a meal.

Cafe Mozart and Cafe Sachar are in very close proximity to the Opera House and reasonably priced. We recently stayed at the Hotel Bristol which is adjacent to the Opera House and there are many dining options in the area.

Café Sacher is an absolute tourist trap, Café Mozart not so much, but for lunch there are much better choices.
