I would welcome some recommendations for hotels that travelers on this forum have stayed in Innsbrook. Also some thoughts on day trips by train from Innsbrook. I know people are discouraging the buying of the Eurail Pass? We will be staying three full days and wonder if that Bayernticket is the way to go. We will be flying into Munich. Thank you in advance for all that give such wonderful information on this forum.

The Eurail Pass is a rip-off. The Bayernticket is valid in Bayern, Germany, only. Innsbruck is in Austria.
The Austrian Rail (ÖBB) equivalent of the Bayern-Ticket is the Einfach-Raus-Ticket. But you can't use it for travel outside Austria.
The Einfach-Raus-Ticket is an all day pass for regional trains (only) within Austria. It is not sold for just a single person; you must be traveling with someone to use it [really stupid]. It costs 35€ for the first two people, 4€ more for each additional person up to five, total.
I stayed at the Goldener Adler hotel. Great location, amazing history. Good restaurant.
For my upcoming trip, I have the AC Hotel booked. It's near the train station. I had some credit card points, so the room is free for me.
