rail pass?

We will be going from Prague to Cesky Krumlov to Salzburg to Vienna to Bratislava (maybe just a boat ride day trip)

Does anyone have thoughts about whether my 14 year old daughter and I should get a rail pass, either an Austrian/Czech one or a European East pass?

Also, does it cover local travel, inside Salzburg and Vienna?

Thanks

Passes do not cover in-city transport, only trains between towns. You can see discounted "Travel Bonuses" listed under that tab on the resepective purchase links for the Austria-Czech Pass ($159 per person traveling together for 4 days) and European East Pass ($198 per person for 5 days). Using the price estimates on the map on the Czech page, buying tickets as you go would be cheaper for your train rides. From Salzburg to Vienna, you may be able lock in an advance discount at http://www.oebb.at/en/Tickets/SparSchiene/index.jsp.
