Question regarding 2-D Salzburg Itinerary

Can I do Sound of Music tour and Eagle's Nest or Hallstatt + Eagle's nest the same day?

No, in my opinion. Look at the times and duration of the SOM tour, the time needed to go to Hallstatt or Eagle's Nest, the time needed for the visits, etc.

Just left Salzburg and was able to do several of the things that you are wanting to do. I agree with the others. To much to do, too little time, unfortunately. Travel time will eat up a lot of your hours.

Eagles Nest from Salzburg will take a day. Providing that you hit your buses right, if that’s the route you’re taking.

A day trip to Hallstatt from Salzburg will definitely take a day, that’s with getting up early.

I ended up - one day each in Salzburg, Eagles Nest, and Hallstatt. Would have liked to have spent more time, but who wouldn’t.

Both are spectacular, can’t make a wrong choice.

I was able to squeeze in the Dachstein 5 Fingers cable car ride and hike into the Hallstatt day trip. Incredible.

Where before and after Salzburg? We did Hallstatt on the way to Vienna - by car. Quick visit, for sure, but better than missing out.

Went to Salzburg last year during the summer. I was contemplating what you did, and ended up instead: doing Eagles Nest and Konigsee boat ride on the same day, and the next day doing the chilling and walking in Salzburg downtown. In my opinion, Sound of Music and Eagle's Nest on the same day (I've researched this) is too much. Also suggest you do Hallstatt on its own and give it a proper day. You could do chilling downtown and Sound of Music tour however...
