We've booked an Airbnb that is about 10 minutes out of town, and are wondering if we will be able to get to Salzburg and back on those days? If public transportation isn't running, does anyone know about taxis? Also, would restaurants be likely to be open? Thank you!

Restaurants, however ... tend to close down after lunch on Christmas Eve and stay closed on Christmas Day. We just planned to eat a HUGE breakfast at our hotel on Christmas Day and supplement with snacks purchased at the nearly SparMart. Our favorite restaurant, the Alte Fuchs, put up a notice that they were going to be open in the evening on Christmas Day, but that notice wasn't posted until about the 23rd. The tourist board has a list of open restaurants -- mostly expensive hotel meals or burger places at the Hauptbanhoff.
