Prague to Salzburg or Freilassing train ?

Hello,

On 1-September I will need to reach from Prague to Freilassing (via Linz). When I select Prague to Salzburg, it shows me price (for first class), but if I change destination to Freilassing, it doesn't show me price.

Should I book from Prague to Salzburg now and when book another ticket from Salzburg to Freilassing later on day of traveling ? There is 12 minutes wait time at Salzburg, to catch train for Freilassing.

Or I can see prices on these tickets later and I should wait ?

Thanks

Where are looking for prices. If at OEBB, they can't show you a price for a train from the Czech Republic to Germany, even if it passes through Austria.
From Salzburg, you can get to Freilassing on the No 24 bus, or an S-Bahn. Its a local ticket. The train ticket is 2.70 EUR and there are about 4 to 5 trains every hour mid-day and it takes 7 to 12 minutes. Some are Meridian trains, some are OEBB REX trains, and some are S-Bahns. You can buy a ticket out of a vending nachine at Salzburg Hbf. Stay off EC trains, local tickets are not valid for them.

I was checking at cd.cz. Not sure, if there is any difference between booking ad cd vs oebb. Is there any ?

I will have 2 bags of 23 KG, i.e. standard international measurements + 1 hang baggage and camera kit bag. I will be taking 1st class train. Is it normal to take this much luggage, with adding to "extra luggage" ?

The Cesky Drahy price is probably the best price you can get. They can give it to you because the train originates in Prague and terminates in Linz, Austria, then they can also add the connecting train to Salzburg, because of ongoing relationship with OEBB.

Luggage is whatever you can handle. With that much stuff, maybe you just want to get a taxi at Salzburg Hbf to Freilassing. Its only about 4 to 5 miles.

Edit - Actually looks like the Linz - Salzburg connection will be using Westbahn.

Regarding taking taxi from Salzburg station to Freilassing (Europcar Freilassing - Ludwig-Zeller-Straße 1, 83395 Freilassing, Germany), are those metered taxi and we can go out get any first available taxi ?

Do they accept credit card swipe or need to carry Euro cash ?

There is a taxi stand at the Hbf.
World Taxi Meter, https://www.worldtaximeter.com/salzburg
estimates about 18 EUR, maybe extras for additional passengers and extra luggage. No idea about credit cards. Cash always works, assume you'll need to get some Euros sooner or later. Might as well be sooner.
