Hello,
Do the national rail sites, like OBB in Austria and DB BAHN in Germany, use electronic/mobile tickets? i.e. do these have to ordered 1-2 weeks in advance to accomodate shipment of physical tickets?
Would you recommend booking in advance rail tickets for Vienna->Prague on a Saturday, 7/16, and/or Prague->Berlin on a Tuesday, 7/19?
Background: After reading through Europe Through the Back Door in the spring, I became comfortable with the idea of buying my rail tickets at the train station 30-60 minutes prior to departure, but, after doing some additional reading on the website, I've become a little less comfortable with the idea and I'm wondering if I should purchase my tickets in advance on raileurope.com, but I've found the Vienna->Prague leg much cheaper on the OBB site and the Prague->Berlin leg about the same on the DB BAHN site.
Thank you for your help!
Will
