Hello,
We will be traveling to Slovenia from Munich. Our plane arrive around 0700 and we will renting a car. We would like to get halfway to Bled. We would like lodging for one night preferably with a restaurant. All suggestions appreciated.

Why would you like to make an over-night stop? It is a drive of about 4 hours, almost completely on Autobahn (free-ways).

Yes looking for an overnight stop as we will be flying all night. Don't want to drive the total way. Sometimes we can sleep on the plane and sometimes not.

Look for "Altenmarkt im Pongau" in Google Maps and have the hotels in this town displayed. Check what appeals to you.

I would not even drive half way after an overnight flight arriving at that time. You are likely to be a zombie unless you’re flying first class. That’s such a brutal arrival time. Even a 2 hour drive, especially in Munich traffic, can be dangerous.
I would book a hotel in Munich’s old town. Take the train from the airport, drop off your bags, then go get breakfast/brunch. Stay out in the sunshine as much as possible, exploring the old town. Pick up the rental car the next day. The main train station (HBF) is very close to the ring road and an easy drive.
