One Busy Day in Austria/Bratislava

My wife and I will be arriving in Bratislava at 5:30 am 07/25. We plan on just spending a few hours there before taking the train to Vienna to explore the city. In Vienna we're planning on doing Rick Steve's walking tour and maybe one of the palaces before heading off to Salzburg and arriving at 6:00pm.

Any recommendations for Breakfast in Bratislava, Lunch in Vienna and Dinner in Salzburg? Also any other itinerary advice would be much appreciated. -Justin

So you'll arrive in Vienna about 8:30 or 9:30 and leave about 15:30? You can do this, but you won't see much of any of those three cities. I would try to maximize time in Vienna; there's plenty to see.

What are you trying to achieve - to say that you visited all three cities in one day? If you are going for quantity over quality, then by all means give it a try. Personally, I would skip Bratislava as I find it not very inspiring and head straight to Vienna.

Lunch in Vienna - for me I would go to the Rathaus and eat at the Food and Film festival. All the cool people are there and you will have a choice of about 20 pop-up's run by some of Vienna's best restaurants.

I agree with Emily. Bratislava is a relatively small city, but a good place to recharge your batteries after a hard week of tourism in either Vienna or Budapest.

Too bad you don't have more time to visit Vienna--a city worthy of a 4-6 day visit. It is truly a great city on par with Paris and London.
