OEBB Passes for Day Trips from Graz

Hello,
We are a party of 2 with plans to do a day trip from Graz on a weekday as follows:
Depart ~9:00am Graz to Ehrenhausen with ~2.5 hr stopover
Ehrenhausen to Mureck with 2hr stopover
Mureck to Bad Radkersburg
Return Bad Radkersburg to Graz ~7:00pm/19:00

The Freizeit-Ticket looked perfect, but apparently is not valid on weekdays.

The Einfach-Raus Ticket seems like the only one that covers weekday travel and includes S-Bahn, regional R, and REX, but (per OEBB website) it doesn't cover IR and EC trains. Is this restriction still accurate? All the timetables on the OEBB online ticket shop for this route seem to require IR and/or EC trains for part of the journey even though the SBahn route map indicates the SBahn covers that route.

Two days after this day trip on another weekday, we will travel from:
Graz to Feldbach with a 2 hour stopover
Feldbach to Fürstenfeld
Fürstenfeld to Felbach (no return to Graz)

And advice would be appreciated. I have sent my question in to OEBB's customer service, but have yet to get a response.
Thanks in advance!

I checked your itinerary, and there are S-Bahns and REX trains that cover your route. Only real issues are timing. Last S-Bahn Graz to Ehrenhausen is 7:05 am, is that too early? Then Ehrenhausen to Mureck the earliest is at 12:30 pm. Maybe spring for a IR ticket for the section to Spielfeld-Strass, then the connection to Mureck is by S-Bahn. That ticket looks quite cheap, like 3.20 EUR pp.

The OEBB trip planner has a tab to click to show Einfach Raus valid journeys.

Hi Sam,
Thank you for your reply. The early departure would not be a problem for us, but my understanding of the Einfach-Raus Ticket is that it is not valid on weekday trains before 9:00am.

I like your idea of purchasing the IR separately and will look into that.

For the SBahn 'filter', did you find that on the OEBB website or one of their phone apps?

Thank you! That's a handy interface. Looks like breaking it up will be more than double the price of the Einfach-Raus Ticket since the return to Graz in the evening will require an EC or IR train from Spielfeld-Straß. But still better than the hassle of renting a car.

since the return to Graz in the evening will require an EC or IR train from Spielfeld-Straß.

I am seeing an S-Bahn from Bad Radkersburg at 19:05 to Spielfeld-Strass, arriving at 19:45, connecting to an S-Bahn at 20:09, arriving at Graz at 20:55.

Hmmm. I see that too on the Scotty planner, but when I click through to tickets, the SBahn only options disappear. The only evening options offered are S51 with connection to an IR in Spielfeld-Straß. Is that because OEBB doesn't sell tickets for SBahn-only journeys?

Could be. But with an Einfach Raus Ticket, you don't need to buy a ticket as you already have one.

Sam - I'm a bit slow today. Finally figured out how to price what you said (IR ticket for Graz - Spielfeld, Einfach-Raus for all the rest) and it saves 15 Euro for 2. So that seems to be the way to go. Thank you again for your great suggestions.
